Whilst my training in coaching was not a “life coaching” course, I can’t really think of a better way to encapsulate the work we will do together. It is coaching to help you remember more of yourself so that you can live a more fulfilling and joyful life. My training was in Integral Development Coaching (with Thirdspace), integral meaning whole and inclusive, embracing all of you and all of life.
Integral Coaching is a whole-person approach to growth and transformation. It recognises that lasting change happens when we include not just our thoughts, but also our emotions, body, relationships, beliefs, and way of being in the world. Rather than simply helping you achieve goals, Integral Coaching supports you to become more fully yourself—living with greater awareness, authenticity, purpose, and aliveness.
Often we try to compartmentalise our lives, “work me is like this, while home me is quite different”, where really we are just one person with one set of, perhaps complex, hopes, dreams and fears. We can cause ourselves discontentment and distress by trying to split ourselves and hide parts from certain people or groups, or even ourselves if we were taught to believe that parts of us were undesirable. The work we are committed to as Integral Development Coaches is helping people to remember more of their unique and beautiful self, and bring this to the world, because the world needs what you have to offer.
